our values
Faith Meant to Be Lived
At Threshold Church, we believe faith is meant to be lived not just stated.
Our values shape how we worship, how we care for one another,
and how we engage with the world around us.
Grounded in the truth of God’s Word and led by His Spirit, these values guide our decisions, our relationships, and the kind of community we are becoming together.
Rooted in God’s Word
God’s Word is our foundation.
We believe Scripture is living and active, revealing who God is and how we are called to live. In a world that is constantly shifting, we stand on the unchanging truth of the Bible, allowing it to shape our beliefs, our character, and our direction.
We do not bend Scripture to fit culture—we allow God’s Word to form us.
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.” — Psalm 119:105
Led by the Spirit
We depend on the presence and guidance of the Holy Spirit.
We believe God still speaks, leads, convicts, and empowers His people today. As we pray, worship, and walk together, we seek to follow His direction with humility and obedience.
The Spirit leads us not only in moments of worship, but in everyday decisions and faithful living.
“Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.” — Galatians 5:25
Living in Relationship
Faith was never meant to be lived alone.
We believe authentic community is essential to spiritual growth. Loving one another is not optional. It is a defining mark of discipleship. We are committed to walking together through life’s joys and struggles, offering grace, truth, and care along the way.
At Threshold Church, community is practiced and pursued not perfectly performed.
“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
Serving in the In-Between
We meet people where they are.
Jesus consistently stepped into the in-between spaces. Those spaces between brokenness and healing, doubt and belief, despair and hope. We believe the Church is called to do the same.
We do our best to serve with compassion, humility, and courage, bringing hope and the love of Christ into real-life situations, both inside and outside the church walls.
“Let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.” — 1 John 3:18
Expecting God to Move
We live with faith, prayer, and anticipation.
We believe God is active and at work today. We approach worship, prayer, and ministry with expectancy trusting God to transform lives, restore hearts, and move in ways we cannot orchestrate ourselves.
Expectation keeps us dependent, hopeful, and attentive to His work among us.
“Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” — Ephesians 3:20
Values in Action
These values are lived, not listed.
These values are not ideals we aspire to someday. They flow out of what we believe and are the heartbeat of our community right now. As we worship together, grow together, serve together, and love together, God shapes us into a people who reflect His love in everyday life.
