A Heart to Serve
At Threshold Church, serving flows out of worship. Because God is worthy of our whole lives, we respond by offering ourselves—our time, our gifts, and our willingness—to Him. We believe serving is not about filling roles or meeting needs alone. It is an expression of love for God and love for others, lived out in obedience and humility. When our worship is rightly ordered, serving becomes a natural response.
It moves beyond checking boxes and filling gaps. It becomes about stepping into what God is already doing and offering what He’s placed in your hands. It grows intof finding fulfilment in sharing who you are with your community.
Every person matters. Every gift matters. And there’s a place for you to serve in a way that fits who you are and where you are in the journey.
The beauty of Serving
Serving is one of the ways God forms us as His people and how we grow together as a church family. As we give our time, energy, and gifts to love God and each other, He shapes us and uses us to bless others and reflect His love.
Wherever you choose to serve, your obedience to God's call matters. You are valued here.
Our Heart for Serving
We serve because Jesus first served us. He showed us that true worship is expressed through obedience, compassion, and sacrificial love. He invites us to follow His example by loving with humility, generosity, and joy.
Serving at Threshold is not driven by obligation or pressure. It is shaped by relationship. Relationship with God and with one another. God uses ordinary people to do extraordinary things when they are willing and available.
Whether you serve weekly or occasionally, behind the scenes or face-to-face, your heart to serve matters, and as we follow Jesus together, He invites each of us to participate in what He is already doing, using what He has entrusted to us for His glory.
Ways to Serve
God has designed each person with purpose, and there are many ways to serve within the life of our church.
Some serve by welcoming others.
Some serve by teaching, praying, building, leading, or supporting behind the scenes.
Some serve within these walls while others serve outside in our community.
All serve as an act of worship.
